Opening Doors With An Orlando Golf School

Attending an Orlando golf school can sound like a dream come true for many hoping to start their career in the golf industry. Truth be told, it is not wholly impossible to make that dream a reality. A golf school is an accredited institution that provides students with a reputable and solid degree once they have satisfactorily completed a two-year curriculum.

There are many who want to work in the world of golf and assume it is merely all about having a great swing. A two-year degree is for the student who is serious about landing a solid career in the golf industry. He or she wants to do more than just play golf, but use all the strong points available that will let them work in and around the sport as much as possible.

While most golf enthusiasts would love to be the pro golfer in the Opens and on the cover of sports magazines, this is not always possible. However, there are many areas in which to work in close proximity to the sport. If one is not teaching golf to others, perhaps he or she can take on a career running or managing a golf course at some level.

Learning the ins and outs of golf in a city like Orlando means doing so not only in a beautiful location but in an ultra modern city as well. In Orlando, students have access to all the necessary facilities and the extra comforts of living. The year round sunny weather can be relaxing and is quite conducive to an outdoor learning environment.

Plus, with Orlando being a hub of activity in the world of golf, attending an Orlando golf school can be a step in the right direction for success. After all, if one were hoping to break into the movies, Hollywood would be the number one place to start. Students and graduates are both likely to find just the opportunity they are looking for to jumpstart their golf career in Orlando.

As with all state or nationally accredited learning venues, golf school students will be given access to a wide number of services. This means students can apply for financial aid and other school related benefits. Many times, golf schools will also take on partnerships with area courses and other golf related companies to help their students gain internships and job placements.

Depending on one’s goals and the course of study, a student can legitimately earn either an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Whether becoming an instructor or learning management skills, earning a credential is what will give a person the edge over others when applying for certain position. Many golf courses no longer hire unqualified workers off the street no matter how many years of experience they have.

Of the many that have graduated from reputable golf schools, most report that they would not only repeat their experience but also recommend it to others. While getting out on the greens is an attractive part of a curriculum, small class sizes and good student to teacher ratios also add to a golf school education. This allows many students to not only grasp material better but graduate with higher GPA’s.

Attending an Orlando golf school can be a step in the right direction for the person who eats, sleeps and breathes golf and wants to leave no stone unturned in establishing their career. Once a student graduates and the doors begin to open up, he or she can step up into the life they have been visualizing for themselves. It is the individual who puts everything he or she has into their passion that eventually becomes the success envied by all.

Excelling Arizona Schools Named for 2004-2005 School Year

As with many school systems across the United States, Arizona Schools have several measurement and accountability programs in place to improve student scholastic achievement. One accountability program for the Arizona schools is the AZ LEARNS achievement program. AZ LEARNS holds all Arizona schools accountable for the performance of their students and teachers, measuring performance over several years versus a snapshot one-year measurement. The AZ LEARNS evaluation is based upon four established measurements already required by the Arizona schools. They are:

• AIMS Scores — Measures reading, language arts and mathematics for elementary schools; and reading, writing and mathematics for high schools.
• MAP — Measure of Academic Progress for schools, where students scores for AIMS and SATs are compared to the state average.
• Graduation/Dropout Rates — Used for the high schools.
• AYP — Adequate Yearly Progress measures student proficiency in the state’s academic standards of reading and mathematics over time.

The AZ LEARNS program for the Arizona schools categorizes schools on a graded scale as either:

• Failing to meet academic standards,
• Underperforming,
• Performing,
• Highly Performing, or
• Excelling.
